I am a parenthood coach supporting the parent-child relationship and a functional movement prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher. In essence, I offer birth prep and parenthood support for mamas and families.
I am trained in Prenatal & Postnatal yoga via Mount Madonna Institute. I also trained in the Body Ready Method functional movement specializing in preparing the pregnant body for optimal birth and recovery. Additionally, I hold my 200-hour foundational yoga training via Heart & Bones Yoga, bridging yogic wisdom with modern biomechanics.
Aside from my movement training, I have dived deep into postpartum care and parenthood preparation via Kerry Ingram's Community Supported Postpartum training and Elly Taylor's Becoming Us training specifically for expectant couples. When I first opened my heart to this work, I completed a postpartum doula training via Cornerstone Doula Trainings and took a birth doula intensive with Janine Maitri from Sierra Childbirth Institute. Janine gave me the opportunity to see birth differently and we welcomed our second child into the world in our home. Beautiful. Life changing. Transformative!
To supplement my training, I completed Postpartum Support International's Perinatal Mental Health certification. My background is in Behavioral Psychology, as I served as Board Certified Behavior Analyst for many years, serving families with children with special needs. I continue to support families with young children via Parent Coaching to provide strategies and tools to navigate relational and behavioral challenges at home. This certification in perinatal mental health allows me to support the mother as well as the mother in relationship with her child. I truly love this part of my work and bring a big dose of mindfulness and nervous system regulation into my practice as well to further support the family.
I support families residing in Placerville and surrounding areas such as El Dorado Hills and Cameron Park. I also offer virtual support that many families appreciate.
